Colin McDermot (he/him)

I am a third-year psychology student at Queen's University and I am excited to be joining the EMBody lab as a research assistant. In the coming year I will also be a directed lab student in Queen's University's READY lab, aiding in research on the psychotherapy modalities taught in graduate programs and the perceived barriers that professors face in training. My research interests include socioemotional factors in the development of adolescent depression and anxiety, and the efficacy of non-directive approaches to psychotherapy such as narrative-based and person-centered therapy. In my free time I enjoy playing the guitar and hanging out with my dog.
